Electronic trichogram
What is trichogramma?
The trichogram is a microscopic examination of the hair roots.
What is a trichogram used for?
It is used to precisely measure the extent of hair loss and to evaluate the proportion of diseased hair in the patient's hair. The objective is to enable the doctor to establish a precise diagnosis, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and then to opt for the most appropriate treatment._22200000-0000-0000-0000 -000000000222_
What is its operating principle?
With an electronic trichogram, it is no longer necessary to collect around twenty hairs from three areas of the scalp. We measure three parameters:
-
the proportion of hair in the growing (anagen), resting (catagen), dead (telogen) or dystrophic (hair matrix lesions) phase on the frontal, temporal and occipital areas of the head
-
the proportion of anagen hair to that of telogen hair
-
the diameter of the hair shafts
To determine the cause of hair loss, it is advisable to carry out a trichoscopy(Trichoscopy is a digital counting method that allows you to assess hair loss, painless and non-invasive) or a trichoscan (computer-assisted method for determining hair density and condition of the hairline).
