PLATELET-RICH PLASMA - PRP
How does a PRP session take place?
A PRP session takes place in five stages:
First stage :blood sampling
The surgeon or nurse takes one or more blood samples depending on the size of the area to be treated (between 4 and 8 ml).
Second step :centrifugation
The blood test tubes are centrifuged directly after collection in a centrifuge for 6 minutes. Horizontal centrifugation of the yellow tube allows the separator gel to move uniformly through the center of the tube, clearly separating the platelet-rich gold-yellow plasma from the other denser constituents of red blood cells and white blood cells.
Third step :activation
This step consists of turning the test tubes several times (five times) from top to bottom in order to simplify the extraction of the plasma, a liquid with a yellowish appearance.
Step four:transfer into the syringe
The surgeon or nurse extracts only the plasma present in the test tube using a micro-needle or micro-cannula syringe.
Fifth step:injections
The practitioner removes the anesthetic cream (if necessary) after one hour of application, and proceeds with subcutaneous injections. The syringe reservoir contains biactive proteins which are an essential growth factor in deep tissue stimulation, repair and regeneration.
Is the treatment painful?
A painful sensation may be felt during the bites. It nevertheless varies depending on the patient. A moisturizing and soothing cream can be prescribed and administered after the session and can be applied for 48 hours.
