After hair transplantation
After the hair transplant, the surgeon will provide you with advice to optimize the expected result.
Duringthe first three daysfollowing the hair transplant:
-
Do not touch hair
-
The day after and two days after the procedure: shampoo with betadine scrub 4% on the extracted area (back of the head)
-
On the second day of the session: apply Aloe Vera gel to the donor area every day after morning shampoo, on dry skin, for 15 days
From the 4th day: start shampooing your entire head with the prescribed mild shampoo, twice a day for 7 days, then once a day for 2 months.
From the 10th day, apply MINOXIDIL 5% morning and evening (do a light massage to help the product penetrate, do not rinse, wash your hands after use).
PRP sessions (Platelet Rich Plasma) may be prescribed to you at a rate of one per month for three months or more.
To do or not to do
The surgeon advises you throughout the post-transplant:
-
Do not rub the grafted area so as not to remove the grafts
-
We will tell you how to sleep depending on your case, back or side for 4 to 5 days (avoid the grafts being in contact with the headboard, pillow or duvet),
-
Avoid all efforts (yelling, laughing loudly, putting your head down) that could increase blood pressure and eject grafts for three days,
-
Avoid all stress,
-
Do not use hairspray or gel or other chemical product on the implanted areas for one month, no dye with ammonia,
-
Avoid exposure to the sun and any risk of sunburn: prefer shade and wear a hat or other cap for the first few months,
-
No sport for seven days, do not carry heavy loads, do not put your head in the sea for ten days or in the swimming pool for a month. Gradual return to sport from the eighth day
-
Avoid the sauna
-
Do not eat foods that are too spicy
-
Do not chew hard food or chewing gum on the day of the session or the next day,
